The Internal Institutional Quality Audit Committee (IIQAC) in coordination with the Quality Assurance Office (QAO) at SQU conducted a workshop for the Portfolio Committees and Panel Members on Monday, 9th September 2019 for the 3rd batch of themes to be audited for 2019-2020 (Management System, Student Induction, Facilities Management, Community Engagement and Deanship of Research & Research Centers).

The workshop included an introduction about the process of the audits and its general guidelines taken from the Internal Institutional Quality Audit Manual, Fourth Edition, 2019. The manual was developed by the IIQAC, chaired by Prof. Ali Yousif, Expert from the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs & Community Services. During the workshop, Prof. Ali Yousif, gave an overview of the audit stages, cycles and timeline. He presented the roles and responsibilities of the IIQA Players; (Academic Council, Senior Management/Responsible Officers, Entities/Staff, QAO and IIQAC).

To enrich the discussions of the workshop, previous members of the Portfolio Committee and the Panel, Dr. Khalsa Al Aghbari and Prof. Sulayma Al Barwani respectively, were invited to present and share their experiences during the 1^st and 2^nd audit cycles. An open forum followed after each session to answer the questions and address the concerns of both Portfolio Committees and Panel Members. The Portfolio Committees of all themes are expected to send the requested reports to the IIQAC Chair on October 2019 and should be sent to the Panel Members within two weeks from submission. The Audit Visit is scheduled from 8-15 December 2019.
