Symposium Highlights AI, Radiomics and Hybrid Imaging

A symposium on Artificial Intelligence, Radiomics and Advances in Hybrid Imaging was organised by the department of Radiology and Molecular Imaging. It was conducted by Dr Yassine Bouchareb and Dr Humoud Al-Dhuhli on the 5th of December 2019. The opening speech was given Dr Muna Al-Saadoun, the Dean of College of Medicine and Health Sciences, followed by a short speech by Dr Khalifa Nasser Al-Wahaibi, Director of Sultan Qaboos University Hospital.  A series of talks was delivered by an international guest speaker, Dr Arman Rahmim from the University of British Columbia, Canada and Dr Yassine Bouchareb from Sultan Qaboos University. The symposium included several hot topics such as Foundations of Artificial Intelligence, Radiomics, Opmtimisation in Hybrid Imaging as well as Recent Advances Theranostics. Participants, who were given attendance certificates, provided a very positive feedback about the symposium and expressed interest in having the symposium organised on yearly basis.
