Fostering Entrepreneurial Mindset in Graduates
The Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) and the Centre for Learning Innovations and Customised Knowledge Solutions (CLICKS) have organised a two-day workshop titled “Teaching Entrepreneurship: Empowering Educators to Instil an Entrepreneurial Mindset in the Next Generation of Graduates.”
The workshop brought together faculty members to explore innovative approaches to integrating entrepreneurship into higher education. With a growing emphasis on nurturing graduates who are not only academically proficient but also adaptive, creative, and resilient, the workshop aimed to equip educators with the tools and strategies needed to cultivate entrepreneurial thinking in their classrooms.
Over the two days, participants engaged in dynamic sessions covering the foundations of entrepreneurship, curriculum integration, pedagogical approaches, assessment strategies, and the design of entrepreneurship-focused learning activities. Emphasis was placed on interdisciplinary approaches, experiential learning, and aligning entrepreneurship with programme outcomes.
Key discussions also included the role of universities in building entrepreneurial ecosystems through incubators, innovation hubs, and industry partnerships, with practical examples and case studies offered to illustrate successful models.
The workshop reflects a growing recognition of entrepreneurship as a critical skillset for the future for students across all fields. By equipping educators with the skills and resources to embed entrepreneurial thinking into their teaching, the initiative aims to prepare graduates to thrive in a rapidly evolving global landscape.
