SQU signs a cooperation agreement with Saint Petersburg State University In the field of student exchange

Within the framework of cooperation between Sultan Qaboos University and Saint Petersburg State University in the Russian Federation, the two universities signed today, a cooperation agreement in the field of student exchange, which includes undergraduate and postgraduate students.
 
The agreement was signed on the Omani side by Her Highness Dr. Mona bin Fahd al-Said, Assistant Vice Chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University for International Cooperation, in the presence of His Excellency Jamal bin Hassan al-Moosawi, Secretary-General of the National Museum, and His Excellency Hamood bin Salim al-Towaiya, the Accredited Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation and Ambassador Abdullah bin Hamad al-Riyami, Head of the Cultural Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The agreement was signed by Dr. Sergei Vladimir Andryushin, Vice President of Saint Petersburg State University, on the Russian side.
 
The cooperation agreement includes receiving students from Saint Petersburg State University to study in the field of student exchange for a semester at Sultan Qaboos University, and provides the opportunity for students of Sultan Qaboos University to study at Saint Petersburg State University. This comes within the framework of strengthening the university’s plans for international cooperation and examining ways of cooperation in fields of common interest.
 
Saint Petersburg State University is one of the oldest and most famous universities in the Russian Federation. It was founded in 1724 CE by Peter the Great. It is considered one of the leading educational institutions in the Russian Federation. The university offers a wide range of academic programs including natural sciences and humanities, social sciences, engineering and medicine. The university is a major centre for innovation and research in the Russian Federation. It participates in many national and international research projects, and many prominent figures have graduated from the university in various fields, including literature, science and politics.
