Summer School: Exhibition Features 4IR

Sultan Qaboos University, represented by the Center for Community Service and Continuing Education, organized on Wednesday, 17 July 2019, the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) Projects Exhibition for the school students attending the summer program at SQU. The exhibition featured 45 projects related to computer applications, software, electronics and robotics. The event was opened under the patronage of HE Saud bin Salim bin Ali Al Balushi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for planning and Human Resources Development and in the presence of HE Dr. Ali Bin Saud Al Bimani, Vice Chancellor of SQU.

The exhibition seeks to present students' projects from the 2019 Summer Program in the fields of applications, software, electronics, robotics and everything related to the manufacture in the era of 4IR. The program also included demos on 3D printing, one of the latest technologies, and artificial intelligence, or the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines and computer systems.

The summer program for school students was organized by the Centre for Community Service and Continuing Education as a part of the University’s efforts to strengthen its relationship with the society and contribute to human resources and capacity development by organizing educational and training programs at regular intervals. The Center also seeks to spread knowledge in scientific and technical areas through various methods.
