On Monday, 25 February 2019, the Center for Staff Development at Sultan Qaboos University organized a forum entitled "Leadership and Decision Making" in collaboration with the Ministry of Health. Eng. Salim bin Ali Al Hinai, Director of the Center, welcomed the participants in the forum. H.E Dr. Darwish bin Saif Al-Muhrabi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Administrative and Financial Affairs presented a paper on strategic leadership and its role in decision-making.  Dr. Al-Marhabi shed light on the basic elements that leaders should have in various leadership positions, as well as the skills of building competencies and placing them in the right place.

Dr. Majid Al-Maqbali, Director General of Nursing Affairs at the Ministry of Health, talked about the Ministry's leadership and decision-making project, which is based on international standards and principles in terms of employment, rehabilitation, replacement, as well as some analytical and statistical systems used in the process of study and evaluation of projects, and staff performance. It is worth mentioning that the Forum will continue to hold dialogue sessions and hosting prominent figures at the leadership level sequentially in 2019.
