Sultan Qaboos University organized a dinner in honour of the newly appointed employees on 26 September 2018 under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Ali bin Saud Al Bimani, the Vice Chancellor of the University. Between September 2017 and September 2018, Sultan Qaboos University appointed 319 employees including academicians, technicians and administrative and medical staff. The newly appointed employees include 25 medical doctors, 71 academics, 22 administrative staff, 145 nurses, 42 technicians, 13 workers, and a library staff.

Addressing the new staff members, Prof. Amer bin Ali Al Rawas, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs & Community Service, said that the University always seeks distinguished capabilities, who would contribute with their potential, abilities and creative talents in building the young promising generations of Oman.

“Your mission here at SQU is not an ordinary one. You and we are all work together to plant the seeds of tomorrow, inculcate in the students the spirit of hardworking, which is not an easy task, but it is not impossible, as long as you have the skills and abilities to be here today”. The DVC added that the University is well prepared to be an incubator for innovator from various fields. He called upon the new employees to work hard, assist and collaborate to achieve the university’s goals and mission and reach to its vision. “This can only be achieved through your cooperation and knowledge of the rules, regulations and procedures, which will facilitate your tasks in your work and ensure you to benefit from all the services from the university’s various units, and be confident that your excellence, success and creativity will be recorded in the achievements of this university”, he concluded.
