Sultan Qaboos University has won the “OER Power Brands 2018” award under Colleges & Universities category. Representing the University, Jamal Said Al Riyami, Director of the Department of Public Relations at SQU received the award at the OER Power Brands 2018’ Awards ceremony at OER Business Summit organized by United Media Services (UMS) on 31st October 2018. In a red carpet awards ceremony at Hotel Sheraton Oman, Muscat, OER felicitated the brands that have established an emotional connect with customers, by winning their loyalty and trust.

The OER-Arabian Research Bureau survey on ‘Power Brands in Oman 2018’ is an attempt to track the strength of various brands’ relationships with their consumers. OER conducts this survey to understand the dynamic market environment and its impact on both Omani and multinational brands. The survey is conducted by the Arabian Research Bureau (ARB) on behalf of OER.  The survey is an effort to measure the recall that brands enjoy with consumers, in an increasingly cluttered market.

OER Business Summit & Power Brands Awards 2018 was attended by members of Muscat corporate high life. The event attracted more than 250 top business leaders, CEOs and senior government officials from a cross-section of industries, ministries and government bodies. It witnessed the congregation of the key decision-makers who are driving the country’s business and economy.
