The Oman Authority for Quality Assurance of Education (OAQA) concluded its Institutional Standards Assessment (ISA) visit to Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) on Thursday, 15 October 2026, as part of the University's institutional accreditation renewal process. The five-day visit took place from 11 to 15 October 2026.The visit featured a comprehensive programme of meetings and interviews with university officials, academic and administrative staff, students, graduates, stakeholders, and other relevant groups. These engagements aimed to review institutional practices, systems, and procedures and assess their alignment with the approved institutional standards.
The programme also included site visits to various colleges, centres, libraries, laboratories, and educational, research, and service facilities. These visits provided the review panel with an opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the university environment, available resources and facilities, and ongoing efforts to support teaching and research and enhance university services.
