As part of its academic and intellectual mission, the Deanship of Scientific Research continues its efforts to support authors of scholarly books and to enable researchers and academics to transform their research outputs into well-documented publications. This reflects the vitality of the SQU’s research landscape and strengthens its presence in the fields of academic authorship and scientific publishing.

The Deanship continues to highlight its research outputs and scholarly publications, which embody the efforts of researchers and academics at SQU. To date, around 69 books have been published by the Deanship’s Scientific Publishing Department, reaffirming its ongoing commitment to supporting academic writing and enhancing the presence of specialised knowledge across various disciplines.

Six new titles lead the latest list of publications. Foremost among them is “The Psychological Guide to Managing Anxiety”, authored by academics and physicians from the College of Medicine and the University Hospital. This self-help guide assists readers in addressing various types of anxiety disorders. The methods employed are grounded in cognitive behavioural therapy, offering a structured approach to understanding and managing the thoughts, emotions, and behaviours that contribute to anxiety.

Also available is “The JASPER Model for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder”, a reliable, evidence-based scientific reference that integrates research with practical application. The book contributes to transferring effective intervention practices to practitioners and parents in clear Arabic, with careful consideration of the cultural context.

In the field of education, three specialised books stand out. The first, “Strategic Leadership and Academic Accreditation”, examines the relationship between strategic leadership and academic accreditation in Omani higher education institutions, taking the University as a case study.
