The Fine Art Group of the Deanship of Student Affairs has organised an art exhibition celebrating the rich heritage of Oman. Running for a month, the event offers visitors an immersive cultural experience.

Aiming to highlight various aspects of Omani heritage, the exhibition features traditional arts such as engravings, motifs, and weaving. Architectural elements, including towers and forts, are also showcased. In addition, visitors can explore displays of traditional daily life tools, including clothing, jewellery, music, and Omani songs.

With a clear vision of enhancing awareness about Oman’s deep-rooted heritage, the exhibition underscores its significance in shaping both current and future generations. By presenting antique and artistic objects, it brings heritage to life through an interactive experience that illustrates its evolution over time. Supporting Omani artisans and craftspeople is another key objective, alongside fostering cultural discussions on the importance of preserving heritage in the modern era.

A diverse collection of artistic works is on display, including oil and acrylic paintings that offer innovative visual interpretations of Omani heritage.

Supervised by the artist Yousef Al-Nahwi, the exhibition is organised with the participation of the Fine Art Group. It is open to students and academics at Sultan Qaboos University, as well as visitors and art enthusiasts.

Providing a unique opportunity to explore Oman’s cultural legacy through a contemporary artistic lens, the exhibition reflects the University’s commitment to supporting the arts, culture, and dialogue on the role of heritage in shaping national identity.
