Cardiff University Seeks Ties with SQU
Prof. Omer Rana, College Dean of International and Professor of Performance Engineering at the School of Computer Science and Informatics, Cardiff University, visited Sultan Qaboos University on 25 February 2019 to discuss possibilities of collaboration between the two universities. Prof. Omer Rana was received by officials representing the Deanship of Research and International Cooperation Office at SQU. The two sides then discussed the possibilities of establishing partnership between SQU and Cardiff University by way of student exchange, staff exchange and collaborative research in various disciplines including oil and gas, earth sciences and computer science. Prof. Omer Rana expressed his institution’s keenness to establish ties with SQU in areas of mutual interest.
