A delegation of ten students are representing Oman at the sixth International Financial Security Olympiad, taking place at Siberian Federal University in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, from 27 September to 2 October 2026.

The event brings together around 700 students from 46 countries. This is the third time SQU has taken part in the Olympiad.

The SQU students are competing in the Olympiad while attending sessions and workshops on financial security, combating financial crime, and the use of artificial intelligence in the field. The programme also gives them an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience with students and specialists from around the world.

SQU’s Innovation and Technology Transfer Centre is overseeing the university’s participation and supporting the students as they prepare their projects for the competition.

The participation provides SQU students with an opportunity to represent Oman at an international event and gain experience in areas related to financial security.
