A delegation from the University, led by Her Highness Sayyida Dr. Muna bint Fahd Al Said, Assistant Vice Chancellor for International Cooperation, has concluded a visit to a number of universities and research institutions in the Republic of Belarus.

The visit followed up on the recommendations of an earlier visit, during which SQU signed two memoranda of understanding with Belarusian State University and Belarusian State University of Foreign Languages. The delegation also visited a number of universities to explore opportunities for cooperation and learn from the experiences of Belarusian higher education institutions. Areas of cooperation included student exchange, hosting visiting lecturers and researchers, organising joint conferences, seminars, workshops and training courses, and conducting joint research and publications.

The delegation also visited a number of prominent universities, research centres and scientific institutions in the capital, Minsk, as part of SQU's strategic plan to expand its international partnerships and strengthen its research and innovation ecosystem.

The delegation visited Belarusian State Economic University, Belarusian National Technical University and its technology park, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radio-electronics, and Hi-Tech Park Belarus. The two sides agreed on a number of joint initiatives to further strengthen cooperation.
