Belarusian State University Awards Honorary Doctorate to Sayyida Muna
Belarusian State University has awarded Her Highness Sayyida Dr. Muna bint Fahd Al Said, Assistant Vice Chancellor for International Cooperation, an honorary doctorate in recognition of her outstanding contributions and pioneering efforts at regional and international levels in higher education, scientific research, innovation and community service.
The honour from Belarusian State University, one of the Republic of Belarus’s oldest and most prominent higher education institutions, recognises Her Highness’s active role in promoting international scientific cooperation, strengthening research and innovation partnerships, and supporting community initiatives.
Her Highness expressed her pride and appreciation for the honour from the distinguished institution, noting that the recognition represents both an incentive and an ongoing responsibility to continue contributing to the advancement of science and knowledge. She also emphasised the importance of strengthening academic and research links with leading institutions worldwide in support of development and society.
The honour coincided with the signing of a cooperation agreement between SQU and Belarusian State University, marking a strategic step towards strengthening joint academic and research activities and expanding programmes for the exchange of expertise, students and researchers. The agreement is expected to open broader opportunities for a constructive and sustainable partnership between the two institutions.
Belarusian State University also hosts the Omani Centre for Arabic Language and Culture.
