Launch of 2026 Institutional Innovation Forum
SQU has launched the activities of the 2026 Institutional Innovation Forum, organised by the Quality Assurance Office, in celebration of institutional innovation and to further promote a culture of innovation across the University. The forum also aims to highlight institutional innovation as an integral part of SQU’s strategic plan and vision, while showcasing creative ideas and practices that contribute to enhancing the work environment and improving the quality of institutional performance.
During the forum, Prof. Sulaiman bin Mohammed Al-Balushi, Director of the Quality Assurance Office, delivered a welcoming address. Dr. Nasser bin Musabbah Al-Zidi, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administrative and Financial Affairs, delivered a presentation about the SQU’s vision and the role of its leadership in supporting institutional innovation.
Dr. Mohammed bin Fayel Al-Araimi, an expert in decision-making, strategic foresight, and institutional transformation, delivered a lecture on the principles of strengthening creative and innovative capacities to enhance productivity. Meanwhile, Eng. Thurayya bint Saud Al-Alawi, Head of the Intellectual Property Section at the Innovation and Technology Transfer Centre, discussed SQU’s resources for promoting institutional innovation.
Dr. Basma bint Mohammed Al-Yazidi, Deputy Director of the Quality Assurance Office for Research and Institutional Quality, also addressed initiatives aimed at activating and strengthening the institutional innovation system.
