Graduation Day Strengthens Bridges Between Generations at CEPS
Under the patronage of H.E. Sayyid Dr. Munther bin Hilal Al-Busaidi, Head of the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit at the Ministry of Economy, the College of Economics and Political Science held its “Graduation Day” event, with notable attendance from alumni representing various graduating cohorts.
The event aimed to strengthen connections among the College’s alumni across generations and to celebrate their academic and professional achievements.
Dr. Mukhtar bin Saif Al-Abri, Dean of the College of Economics and Political Science, delivered a welcoming address in which he praised the graduates for their role in representing the College and contributing to various sectors. He emphasised that the College began as an undergraduate programme before expanding to include a wide range of disciplines, including postgraduate studies, partnerships with industry and the business sector, and student exchange programmes, all of which contribute to the development of students’ skills. He also noted that the College has been awarded the prestigious European international accreditation, EQUIS.
The event further featured a panel discussion entitled “From College to National Leadership: The Impact of College Graduates on the Sultanate of Oman’s Economy”, with the participation of a select group of alumni. The session explored their professional experiences and career trajectories after graduation, while also highlighting the role of national talent in supporting the economy and advancing development pathways.
