16th Finance Forum Brings Together Islamic Finance, Technology, and Innovation
Blending youthful ambition with the horizons of financial innovation, the 16th Finance Forum opened its doors at the Exhibition Hall. The event is organised by the Economics and Finance Group at the College of Economics and Political Science and is held under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Dr. Adham bin Turki Al Said.
This annual forum aims to enhance financial and economic awareness, showcase students’ creative and innovative talents, and develop youth capabilities and skills. It also seeks to build and empower emerging leaders, while engaging economic and financial institutions in promoting financial literacy and emphasising the importance of understanding both current and future economic conditions.
The latest edition of the forum features a range of activities, including an accompanying exhibition, the Islamic Finance Forum, and the Finance Forum Competition.
The accompanying exhibition takes visitors on a knowledge journey through five main stations, presenting key concepts of Islamic finance and the mechanisms of Islamic banks and financial institutions. It also highlights modern financial technologies, digital transformation, and concepts of sustainability and social responsibility. The exhibition further includes sponsor booths, interactive spaces, and a dedicated area showcasing ideas submitted to the forum’s competition.
The event attracts students and academics from within and beyond the University, as well as research centres, scientific bodies, and companies from both the public and private sectors involved in financial projects, innovation, and scientific research.
The forum runs for three days and will conclude next Wednesday, 8 April, with a closing forum highlighting key achievements and announcing the competition winners, alongside a variety of entertainment segments.
