A graduation ceremony was held this morning for the 2024-2025 Educational Qualification Diploma programme students at the College of Education. The ceremony was held under the patronage of Professor Hussein bin Ali Al-Kharousi, Assistant Deputy-Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Community Service, at the Conference Hall.
A total of 180 students graduated, comprising 33 male and 147 female graduates from various specialisations within the College of Education.
During the ceremony, Professor Saleh bin Salim Al-Busaidi, Dean of the College of Education, delivered the College’s address. In his speech, he addressed the graduates, saying: “The Educational Qualification Diploma is not merely an academic certificate or a licence to practise, but rather the beginning of a new journey in the world of education and teaching. You are now setting out into the field of work to contribute to building the future and educating coming generations.” He added: “What distinguishes students of the Educational Qualification Diploma programme is their strong disciplinary knowledge, which is now complemented by the skills required to transfer this knowledge and engage effectively with students. The responsibility you bear lies in helping learners discover themselves and acquire knowledge and skills.”
The ceremony programme also included a speech on behalf of the graduates, delivered by graduate Al-Zahra bint Ahmed Al Farsi, as well as a poem celebrating the joy of graduation, recited by student Jaifer Al Rashdi. In addition, a film highlighting the College of Education and its academic programmes was shown.
