The joint committee between Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) and Public Authority for Mining (PAM) held its third meeting on Tuesday, 31 December 2019 at SQU. The meeting was led by HE Dr. Ali bin Saud Al-Bimani, Vice Chancellor of SQU, and HE Eng. Hilal bin Muhammad Al Busaidi, CEO of the Public Authority for Mining in the presence of officials from both sides.

The committee discussed many topics on the agenda of the meeting, which are of interest to both sides. The meeting stressed on the importance of continued and stronger cooperation between SQU and PAM to be sustained through collaborative research, training and other activities.The committee also discussed the geological map submitted by Sultan Qaboos University and requested approval for its publication. The plan for the future projects of PAM were presented and the possibility of SQU involving in and benefiting from the these projects were reviewed.
