Sultan Qaboos University, represented by the Deanship of Research, is taking part in the Riyadh International Book Fair 2025 held from 2 to 11 October, as part of the Sultanate of Oman’s national pavilion. The pavilion brings together a number of government institutions involved in the cultural scene, including the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth; the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism; the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs; the National Records and Archives Authority; as well as SQU.

As part of its participation, the Deanship of Research is showcasing more than 60 publications and seven peer-reviewed academic journals issued by various colleges across the University, aiming to strengthen collaboration with other Omani institutions taking part in the Fair, and to present scientific and cultural content that reflects the University’s commitment to supporting research and creating an enabling environment for it. The event provides an important opportunity to present the outcomes of research and a wide range of publications to a broad international audience, encourage researchers to publish scientific books, and highlight the University’s international role in advancing research.

Through its participation, SQU reaffirms its ongoing commitment to supporting research and researchers in the best possible way. The Riyadh International Book Fair is considered one of the most prominent cultural events in the region and the Arab world, both for the scale of participation by publishing houses and libraries and for the high turnout of visitors.
