SQU Master’s Programme Ranked in QS Top 100
The Master’s Programme in Operations and Supply Chain Management at the College of Economics and Political Science, Sultan Qaboos University, has achieved a significant milestone by entering the prestigious QS Global Rankings, securing a place in the 91–100 band worldwide. This marks the first-ever postgraduate programme at SQU to be ranked by QS, underscoring the University’s growing international recognition.
This achievement reflects the dedicated efforts of the Department of Operations and Supply Chain Management, particularly following the attainment of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) International Accreditation. The accreditation has played a major role in enhancing the programme’s quality and global competitiveness. The programme is also recognised for producing highly skilled graduates who meet the evolving demands of local, regional, and international labour markets.
Dr. Almukhtar bin Saif Al-Abri, Dean of the College of Economics and Political Science, noted that the inclusion of the Master’s Programme in Operations and Supply Chain Management in the QS Global Rankings is a proud moment for both the University and the College. He emphasised that the recognition reflects the high quality of SQU’s academic programmes and the excellence of its graduates. The milestone, he added, reaffirms the University’s ongoing commitment to international standards in teaching and research while strengthening SQU’s position on the global higher education map. He also extended his gratitude to faculty members, programme administrators, and students for their dedication and contributions, expressing confidence that further achievements across other programmes will follow in the near future.
