The Deanship of Postgraduate Studies will hold an induction meeting for postgraduate students on Thursday, 18 September 2025. The event aims to familiarise students with the university’s postgraduate regulations and the services available to them.

Through the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies and its various colleges, SQU continues to expand its postgraduate programmes in response to increasing demand. At present, SQU offers 121 academic programmes across its colleges, including 45 doctoral programmes, 73 master’s programmes, and three higher diploma programmes. This year, 838 students were admitted to postgraduate studies: one in higher diploma programmes, 710 in master’s programmes, and 127 in doctoral programmes.

Saif bin Hamoud Al-Shiryani, Director of the Academic Affairs Department and Chair of the Organising Committee of the induction meeting, explained that the event will also feature an accompanying exhibition. Several units from the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies will take part, alongside the Centre for Omani Studies, the Deanship of Research, and the Main Library. The exhibition will showcase the range of services offered to students and provide them with essential information on the regulations and facilities that will support their academic journey throughout their postgraduate studies at SQU.
