As many as 153 officers from the Command and Staff College are attending the science and technology course, organized by the Center for Community Service and Continuing Education at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) from 1 to 5 of December 2019.

The course was launched by under the patronage of Prof. Ali Huwaishel Al Shuaili, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administrative & Financial Affairs, in the presence of a number of officers from the Command and Staff College.

Prof. Salim Hamoud Al Harthy, Director of the Risk Management Office at SQU, presented a lecture on Nanotechnology, while Dr. Haider Ahmed Al Lawati, Associate Professor at the College of Science, shed light on chemistry and its applications in military science and technology.

During the course, a number of lectures will be presented by SQU staff on various topics such as meteorology, explosives, use of metals for military purposes, sound, robotics in military science, signaling, radars, optics, ballistic projectiles, electromagnetic spectrum and astronomy.
