On Monday, 25 November 2019, H.E. Dr. Ali bin Saud Al Bimani, the Vice Chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) received in his office, H.E. Riziki Pembe Juma, Minister of Education and Vocational Training in Zanzibar and accompanying delegation.

The two sides discussed the possibility of enhanced collaboration between SQU and higher educational institutions in Zanzibar. Official from the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA) and other educational institutions and technical and vocational training centers in Zanzibar accompanied the minister during her visit to SQU. H.E. Dr. Ali Al Bimani and H.E. Riziki Pembe Juma agreed on strengthening the existing ties between SQU and higher educational institutions in Zanzibar. They discussed the ways to establish partnership through exchange of students and faculty members and by initiating collaborative research.
