The delegation is headed by His Highness Sayyid Dr. Fahd bin Al Julanda Al Said, the Vice-Chancellor. The visit includes two main destinations: Moscow and Kazan. During the visit, official meetings are scheduled with the vice chancellors and rectors of Russian universities to explore opportunities for cooperation in areas such as academic partnership, scientific research and innovation, as well as academic and student exchange.

The programme also features meetings with senior officials from leading universities including Kazan Federal University, Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Higher School of Economics, and Sechenov Medical University. In addition, the delegation will visit innovation centres such as Skolkovo, and prominent research institutions including the Russian Academy of Sciences.

This visit forms part of SQU's broader strategy to enhance its international presence and expand its academic network. It is aligned with efforts to develop academic and research programmes in line with the aspirations of the Sultanate of Oman under the Oman Vision 2040.
