SQU Welcomes Indian Higher Education Delegation

A delegation from the Indian Higher Education Mission, led by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), visited Sultan Qaboos University. The delegation was received by Professor Salim bin Hamoud Al-Harthi, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Community Services, in the presence of a number of academics and university staff.

 

The delegation was headed by Dr. Rajesh Pankaj, Director of Education and Skills at FICCI, and included 14 academics and professors from prestigious Indian universities and institutes, as well as representatives from the Indian Embassy.

 

The purpose of the visit was to deepen cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of India in the fields of education, innovation, and scientific research, as well as to strengthen relations with Omani educational institutions. The visit also aimed to explore opportunities for academic and research collaboration, and for the exchange of faculty members and students. Both sides discussed several areas of mutual interest, including artificial intelligence, modern technologies and their integration into curricula, as well as economics, engineering, medicine, and agricultural sciences.
