SQU took part in GHEDEX 2025, one of the region’s most significant educational events, aiming to promote its outstanding academic environment and showcase the educational opportunities available to both students and graduates.

Dr. Suleiman bin Dawood Al-Sabei, Dean of Postgraduate Studies, noted that this participation represents a valuable opportunity to engage with students interested in pursuing higher education, whether at the doctoral, master’s, or postgraduate diploma level. The event serves as an ideal platform to market SQU’s postgraduate programmes, which include a diverse range of offerings: 41 PhD programmes, 69 master’s programmes, and 3 postgraduate diploma programmes. The exhibition is an important opportunity for interaction with students and visitors, answering their questions and providing insight into the latest developments in higher education. It also enhances the University’s academic reputation and highlights the variety of programmes available for students keen to develop their educational and professional skills.

Amani bint Khasib Al-Jalboobi, Head of Awareness and Guidance, added that GHEDEX is a distinguished event in Oman, offering a golden opportunity for students to learn about key future career prospects by exploring academic programmes and potential career pathways. The University’s participation in the 24th edition of GHEDEX is a chance to reinforce its position as a centre for innovation by showcasing its research and innovation capabilities, alongside expanding its network with various research and educational institutions.

Through its participation, SQU aimed to:

  • Introduce academic programmes and available specialisations at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with the involvement of representatives from the Deanship of Admission and Registration and the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies.
  • Highlight the University’s role in supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, by showcasing business incubators and research opportunities available to students.
  • Shed light on campus life and student activities by presenting the University’s stimulating environment and available facilities, in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs.
  • Encourage recent graduates to pursue postgraduate studies by offering academic consultations on the available programmes.

The University’s corner featured a range of interactive activities, including:

  • Young Researcher’s Lab: A live display of innovative student projects aimed at inspiring and encouraging visitors to be creative.
