Strengthening Partnership with Chechen State University
SQU welcomed a delegation from Chechen State University, led by Prof. Ismail Beikhanov, Vice-Chancellor of Chechen State University on Tuesday, 17 February 2025. The delegation was received by Prof. Salim bin Hamoud Al-Harthi, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Community Service.
During the meeting, both sides explored potential areas of collaboration, focusing on academic and research partnerships.
Chechen State University, located in Grozny, Russia, offers a diverse range of academic programmes in science, technology, mathematics, and natural sciences. Additionally, it provides programmes in information technology, business administration, medicine and health sciences, as well as arts and social sciences.
Established in 1938 as the Teacher Training Institute, the university was renamed Chechen State University in 1995. In recent years, it has undergone significant development and now offers an extensive array of academic programmes.
