Oman and Singapore Launch Training Programme

As part of the memorandum of understanding between the foreign ministries of Oman and Singapore, represented by Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) and Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ‘Digital Governance, Cybersecurity, and AI Adoption for Public Service: The Singapore Experience’ training programme was launched this morning.

Organised by the Centre for Community Service and Continuous Education in cooperation with the Singaporean Embassy in the Sultanate of Oman, the five-day programme is delivered at SQU by specialists from the Civil Service College of Singapore.

Participants include a group of specialists and those interested in the field from more than 12 government units in the Sultanate of Oman, nominated by their respective institutions. The programme is part of a series of training initiatives under the Singaporean cooperation programme, delivered on-campus or online, and covers various vital topics aligned with Oman Vision 2040.
