The College of Economics and Political Science announced the renewal of its EQUIS accreditation by the Accreditation Council of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) in Belgium. This reaccreditation, approved by the Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education on 29 August 2024, is valid from 10 December 2024 to 10 December 2027. The recognition highlights the College’s unwavering commitment to achieving and maintaining international standards of excellence in education.

EQUIS, a globally esteemed accreditation body, evaluates institutions against stringent criteria, including governance, programmes, faculty, students, research, and connections with the business world. This renewal affirms that the College continues to meet these high benchmarks, solidifying its status as a leading institution for business and political science education in the region.

It is noteworthy that the College of Economics and Political Science was the first public business school in the Middle East to achieve this prestigious accreditation in 2018, reflecting its ongoing dedication to excellence and adherence to international education standards.

Dr. Almukhtar Al-Abri, Dean of the College, remarked:
“This reaccreditation is a testament to the commitment, hard work, and collaborative spirit of our faculty, staff, and students. It reflects our dedication to delivering world-class education and continuous improvement. I extend my gratitude to the Academic Accreditation Committee, the college executive team, and everyone who contributed to this achievement. Together, we continue to raise the bar for academic excellence.”

This milestone further underscores the College’s mission to provide a high-quality education aligned with international standards, equipping graduates with the skills and knowledge required to excel in their fields.
