Coming Soon: The Second Edition of the Arabic Language and Omani Culture Programme
Next Monday, the International Cooperation Office at Sultan Qaboos University will launch the 2025 Arabic Language and Omani Culture Programme. This initiative aims to enhance international students' Arabic language skills—speaking, reading, and writing—by fostering social interactions with native Arabic speakers. Additionally, the programme will introduce students to Oman's rich cultural heritage and strengthen academic ties with international educational institutions.
Participants will engage in short Arabic courses complemented by cultural activities and visits to prominent tourist destinations in Oman.
Scheduled to run from 20 January to 20 February, the month-long programme will welcome 77 international students. Among them, 61 students are from the Centre of Arabic Culture at Kazan University, Russia, while the remaining 16 are from Dankook University and Busan University of Foreign Studies, South Korea.
The programme's inaugural edition, which hosted 80 international students, was widely praised for its success and received high appreciation from both the participants and their universities.
