The 9^th Used Book Fair organized by the Information Center Group at the College of Economics and Political Science at Sultan Qaboos University commenced at Muscat City Centre on 14 February. The exhibition and sale of books will last for three days. The proceeds from the sale of this annual book fair are donated to charity.

This edition of the book fair focuses on children’s literature with the aim of inculcating the culture of love for knowledge and reading in children. Two children's sections have been set up to encourage them to read and think in a leisurely manner. More than 10,000 books have been collected and are on display this year. The books have been collected since July from the Business Group’s library at the College and from different parts of the Sultanate by setting up collection and sorting centers by the Information Center Group members of the university. The members of the student group hope to create a community that loves reading and to stimulate and spread the culture of donation, and to add more value to books by donating them to others.
