Humanities Students to Celebrate Graduation Today

H.E. Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shibani, Minister of Education will patronize the 29th Graduation Ceremony of the students of Sultan Qaboos University. The ceremony will be held in two phases. The first ceremony will be held on Sunday, 28 October 2018 for the students from the humanities colleges. The second ceremony will be held on Sunday, 11 November 2018 for students from the science colleges. As many as 3104 graduates of the nine colleges, in the undergraduate and postgraduate streams, will receive their degrees during the graduation ceremony.

The number of graduates from each college is as follows: College of Agricultural & Marine Sciences 199; College of Arts & Social Sciences 593; College of Economics & Political Sciences 448; College of Education 558; College of Engineering 453; College of Law 202; College of Medicine & Health Sciences 133; College of Nursing 100; College of Science 418. The graduates include 2421 bachelor degree holders; 400 master’s degree holders; 91 medical degree (MD) holders; 150 diploma holders and 42 PhD holders.

In the first ceremony, 1651 graduates from the three humanities colleges and the College of Economics & Political Science of the university received their degrees. The number of graduates from each college is as follows: the College of Law 202, the College of Arts & Social Sciences 593, and the College of Education 408; the College of Economics & Political Sciences 448.
